You'll be able to find all our 5-year celebrations up here. There's going to be some great stuff.
Because nothing says '2010' like a dirty great load of Top 5s.
“Fezzes are cool” cries the Doctor in the series finale of this years’ Doctor Who series. And who are we to disagree with him? No longer only for Disney monkeys and Saracens fans, the Fez is now the official KN hat of The Year
#2: Professor Layton’s top hat
#3: Oddjob’s kill-tastic tom bowler hat (GoldenEye 007)
#4: Cloud Mario’s variation on the old ‘M’ cap.
#5: Maxwell’s Chicken hat (Scribblenauts)
Thinking about Nintendo’s next console is almost becoming as natural as breathing. What we saw at E3 blew our minds, and then the list of games blew the blown-up shards of brain left. However, the fact that there’s still so much we don’t know could potentially detonate our mental detonator. SO EXCITED.
#2: Professor Layton Vs Phoenix Wright crossover
#3: Street Fighter X Tekken (Another Capcom crossover, we know)
#4: “Super Mario Galaxy 2 is better than the original” from TR having played it for the first time.
#5: The fact Kinect actually works
Doo doo, doo doo, doo doo doo doo dah! Dah doo dah doo doo! We would go on if you wheren’t hoping for proper words. The Galaxy 2 soundtrack provides a good 60 tunes of incredible quality, all immensely hummable, with epic scores thrown in amongst the usual jaunty beats. Stunning.
#2: Scott Pilgrim Vs The World
#3: Halo Reach
#4: Super Meat Boy
#5: No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle
Often we praise a game for being difficult but not unfair. Never before has one example been so true as Clockwork Ruins- Full of twisting platformers roughly in the shape of a clock, you have to bound around them not only with all of Mario’s agility but also tactics in order to figure out where your three clouds go. Or do you go back for another having transgressed one part? Brilliant design.
#2: Twisty Trials Galaxy (Mario Galaxy 2)
#3: Grandmaster Galaxy (Mario Galaxy 2)
#4: Champions League Final: Newcastle United Vs Barcelona FC (FIFA ’11)
#5: Sky Station Galaxy (Mario Galaxy 2)
